Among the fundamental teachings of the Bahá’í Faith is the belief that:
God, the Creator of the universe, is beyond the comprehension of the human mind. His attributes are reflected in the world around us, and His teachings and guidance are given to humanity through the Divine Educators or Manifestation of God who usher in new religious eras and unfold new horizons of human potential. Bahá’u’lláh teaches us that God loved us, and that we were created from this love.
“ O Son of Man! I loved thy creation, hence I created thee. Wherefore, do thou love Me, that I may name thy name and fill thy soul with the spirit of life.” - BAHÁ’U’LLÁH
Throughout history, God has sent to humanity, according to the needs of the time, a series of Divine Educators, known as Manifestations of God. These Divine Educators include Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad, the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh. Their distinct social and spiritual teachings have been a driving force behind the material and spiritual progress of the world. They have also awakened humanity’s collective consciousness and spurred efforts to advance civilization. Bahá’u’lláh says: “ All men have been created to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization”
